Sponsor Photography Directory

Sites can pay to sponsor a particular sub-category or sub-region. The more a site pays per month, the higher it ranks in the sponsors column. If a site pays enough it will also appear in the Sponsors column for its parent category / region. Finally, the top eight sponsors also get shown on the Photography Directory homepage.

Instructions

To sponsor Photography Directory you must first add your website to Photography Directory. Once your site is listed, you can then login to the Webmaster Control Panel and click on the 'Sponsor Control Panel' link. You need to complete two steps to start advertising your site. First set up your campaigns. You can set up as many campaigns as you want for different sub-categories and sub-regions. After you have set up your campaigns you need to purchase credit to pay for your adverts. Everyday, a small amount of your credit is deducted based upon your aggregate 'cost per month'. When you run out of credit simply login and top it up! You can pause, edit and delete your campaigns at any time.

How Sponsors are Ranked

In sub-category and sub-region views, your adverts appear in the sponsors column. The higher your 'cost per month' (cmp), relative to other sponsors of the specific sub-section, the higher up the sponsors column your site will appear. If sites are tied then their total expenditure from past months is taken into consideration.

In parent category / region views, your site appears in the sponsors column if you are one of the top 8 spenders in that category / region. Sponsors are ranked based upon their total expenditure in that region / category. This is calculated by summing your 'cost per month' for all active campaigns in the sub-sections within the specified category / region. To appear in the homepage sponsors column you need to be in the top 8 sponsor of Photography Directory. This is calculated by summing up the total cpm for all of your active campaigns.
